The Flood was a catastrophe on a scale never before realized. It was basically a series of explosions initiated by a meteorite impact on Earth. It has never been read by the scientific community this way because they do not know the composition of our planet at the time of the collision. Basically, the world was ripped apart and reconstructed in the span of one year. This is not only possible, it is highly probably given the data we have and the revelation of the Earth’s structure then and now.
You will receive this information nowhere else. The vision provided the ‘What’, and the study of geophysics provided the ‘How’. It doesn’t matter where the inspiration comes from, but whether it matches the known data. That is where you get to make up your own mind on this.
If we count from the creation to 2036, we come up with 5,995 years. However, this is suspect, since the AD/CE calendar is unreliable. I can say with confidence that Christ was born in 3969 Anno Mundi (year of the world) using mainly the Bible. But since the AD system was wrong from the start (Christ’s birth) it cannot be trusted. I completely reject the BC/BCE calendar system since it was created to remove any floor (allowing for billions of years of fantasy into the “eternal” past). That system has been used to refute the biblical timeline.
Using the Anno Mundi timeline/calendar, we can know that the Flood happened about 4,339 years ago (from 2036). But I do not really get into that in the book. I show how God gave me a vision that showed the world as it was before the Flood. Then He taught me through many epiphanies how that relates to modern geophysics. If nothing else, it will give you an explanation you have never heard before about Earth’s distant past. One book discusses the science of the Flood and cosmology (the study of the beginning). The other discusses the same issue with less science and more … passion.
I currently have the two books on this and a 12-part tract series (a much quicker read). You could start with the tracts and move into the books for more depth.
