The Hope That Is In Me
is greater than the world
it’s greater than the world I see
and its gifts of gold and pearl

I don’t need science or religion
with their rules and hollow ways
I do not fall for their derision
division or vision for my days

I simply follow Jesus
because He is my loving Lord
I know He is the One Who sees us
and freed us with His blood that poured

I have a hope as big as Him
because His light is full of glory
which no one else will ever dim
and there’s no ending to His story

My hope is in my Lord above
and in His loving Holy Spirit
the one Who came down like a dove
and with His voice leads when I hear it

I love my Lord and Father God
Who tells me that He loves me
to which I can only choke and nod
as I fall down on my knee

I gave myself to Jesus Christ
and now He is my only Lord
I follow no one else’s Geist
and no one else may have my sword

I have an audience of One
for others’ thoughts I have no care
because my soul is won and done
and my Savior’s love is there to share
