A Critical Examination from a Biblical Perspective

This post discusses what is baked into the religious system — not what practitioners do, but what Islam demands. This is not an analysis of what Muslims do privately. Individual Muslims can be decent, moral, generous people — most are, and they are largely prisoners of a system they were born into. This is an examination of what Islam’s foundational texts — its Quran and authenticated Hadith, its classical jurisprudence and structural architecture — actually require, permit, and produce. The indictment is against the system. The sources are Islam’s own.

I. Origins: The Waraqah Connection

Islam did not emerge in a vacuum. When Muhammad fled his cave experience on Mount Hira in terror — convinced by his own initial account that he was possessed by a demon — it was not divine confirmation that reoriented him. It was a man named Waraqah ibn Nawfal, first cousin of Muhammad’s first wife Khadijah.

Waraqah was an adherent of Ebionite Christianity — a sect that rejected Pauline theology, denied the Trinity, denied the divinity of Christ, and held Moses as the supreme prophetic model. When Muhammad described his experience, Waraqah reframed it entirely: this was the same divine law-bearer (Namus) that came to Moses. He handed Muhammad his prophetic identity on a platter.

The Moses template is foundational to Islam. Muhammad deliberately positioned himself as the final Mosaic figure: lawgiver, military commander, political ruler, prophet. That architecture came directly through Waraqah’s heretical theology — not through divine revelation. Remove Waraqah from the story and Muhammad remains a frightened man in a cave with no framework for what happened to him and no religion to build.

My Christian view: If Muhammad had talked to a real Christian, he would have said something like, “Bro, you were attacked by a demon. Let me pray for you.” And Islam would have not happened. Millions of lives would have been saved. And millions of people would have not been enslaved and tortured. The world would have had more peace.

The Islamic system presents itself as the only epistemically valid framework, making external critique structurally illegitimate before it is even heard.

II. The Allah Identity Problem

Before Muhammad, Allah was one of 360 deities housed in the Kaaba in Mecca — the chief tribal deity of the Quraysh, Muhammad’s own tribe. The Kaaba itself, the black cubic structure that Muslims circumambulate (walk around) to this day and toward which every Muslim faces in every prayer, was a pre-Islamic pagan shrine. Muhammad cleared 359 idols. He kept the building, the Black Stone embedded in its East corner (almost certainly a meteorite venerated by pagans before Islam), and the circumambulation ritual — wholesale, from paganism.

The theological gymnastics required to distinguish “facing a cube and venerating a meteorite” from idolatry — in a system that condemns idolatry above nearly everything else — are considerable. The irony is structural, not incidental.

More damaging is the Satanic Verses incident, documented by early Muslim historians al-Tabari and Ibn Sa’d. Muhammad briefly incorporated verses acknowledging Allah’s daughters al-Lat, al-Uzza, and Manat as legitimate intercessors — then retracted them as Satanic deception. The epistemological catastrophe this creates is irreparable: if Muhammad could not distinguish authentic revelation from Satanic counterfeit in real time, the reliability of everything else he claimed to receive is permanently in question. His own history refutes him.

My Christian view: Allah is a false god (most likely a demon). Definitely NOT the God of Moses.

III. Moral Offenses Baked Into the Doctrine

These are not aberrations or misapplications. They are sourced from the Quran and authenticated Hadith, embedded in classical jurisprudence across all four major Sunni law schools.

Muhammad’s Marriage to Aisha

Consummated when she was approximately nine years old. Documented in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim — the two most authoritative Hadith collections in Sunni Islam. Muhammad is al-insan al-kamil, the perfect moral exemplar whose conduct is normative for all Muslims for all time. This is not a peripheral biographical embarrassment. It is embedded in the doctrine as exemplary behavior and has been used to justify child marriage in Islamic law for 1,400 years.

My Christian view: Pedophilia. Rape. Child abuse. So much for him being a good exemplar (someone to follow).

Apostasy

The classical ruling across all four major Sunni schools — Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’i, Hanbali — is death for the male apostate (someone who leaves the faith). The source is unambiguous: “Whoever changes his religion, kill him” (Sahih Bukhari). This is not fringe interpretation. It is mainstream classical fiqh. The cage has a lock on the outside. This is not the architecture of a confident truth — it is the architecture of a system that cannot survive open competition.

My Christian view: Oppression and tyranny do not produce righteousness. They produce slaves.

Sex Slavery

The Quran explicitly permits sexual abuse of female captives and slaves — “what your right hand possesses” (Quran 4:24, 23:5-6, 33:50). ISIS was not innovating when they enslaved Yazidi women and cited these verses. They were applying classical doctrine correctly. The Islamic State’s theology was, in this regard, impeccably sourced.

My Christian view: This is why crusades happen.

Dhimmitude

The Quran and Sharia codify permanent second-class legal status for Jews and Christians under Islamic governance: the jizya (a submission tax paid in humiliation), restrictions on worship, testimony, dress, and the construction of houses of worship. This is the Covenant of Umar institutionalized into law — not historical accident, but structural design.

My Christian view: By contrast, look how Christian nations have been open to Muslims over the centuries (foolishly, if you ask me).

Wife-Beating

Quran 4:34 explicitly permits striking a wife as a disciplinary measure. Modern translations soften the Arabic. Classical commentators did not.

Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband’s] absence what Allah would have them guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance – [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand. Qur’an 4:34 (Sahih International version)

My Christian view: No religion or social construct has elevated women more than Christianity.

Unequal Testimony and Inheritance

A woman’s legal testimony equals half a man’s (Quran 2:282). Female inheritance is half the male equivalent (Quran 4:11). These are Quranic — not cultural additions that could be reformed away without touching the text itself.

And bring to witness two witnesses from among your men. And if there are not two men [available], then a man and two women from those whom you accept as witnesses – so that if one of the women errs, then the other can remind her. (Qur’an 2:282 – Sahih International Version—partial quote)

Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females. But if there are [only] daughters, two or more, for them is two thirds of one’s estate. And if there is only one, for her is half. (Qur’an 4:11 – Sahih International Version—partial quote)

My Christian view: Women in Christ get as much as men.

Female Genital Mutilation

Classified as Sunnah — recommended practice — in the Shafi’i school of jurisprudence. Not cultural. Doctrinal.

The Keller translation (softened for Western readers):

“Circumcision is obligatory for both men and women. For men it consists of removing the prepuce from the penis, and for women, removing the prepuce (Ar. bazr) of the clitoris (n: not the clitoris itself, as some mistakenly assert).”

The accurate translation based on Arabic lexicography (documented by scholar Mark Durie):

“Circumcision is obligatory for every male and female by cutting off the piece of skin on the glans of the penis of the male, but circumcision of the female is by cutting out the clitoris.”

Accurate rendering of Reliance of the Traveller e4.3, per Mark Durie’s Arabic lexicographic analysis. The Arabic term bazr means clitoris in every standard Arabic dictionary. Keller’s parenthetical “not the clitoris itself” has no basis in Arabic lexicography and was inserted into the translation without textual warrant.

Al-Azhar certified a document (Keller Translation) containing a deliberate mistranslation designed to hide what Islamic law actually requires from the people most likely to be horrified by it.

My Christian view: This is enough reason to push Islam off of the surface of the planet. It removes a woman’s ability to have an orgasm.

Slavery — Never Abolished Doctrinally

Islam regulated slavery; it never declared it evil. Freeing a slave is meritorious in Islamic law. Owning one is halal. The Arab slave trade ran for 1,200 years — longer than the Atlantic trade and numerically comparable — and receives a fraction of the historical scrutiny. That asymmetry is itself instructive.

My Christian view: Christians abolished slavery. Without us doing that, it would be far more widespread and would have never diminished.

IV. The Violence Architecture

Quran 9:5 — the “verse of the sword” — commands killing polytheists wherever found. Classical scholars used the doctrine of abrogation (naskh) to establish that later Medinan verses of violence override the earlier, more peaceful Meccan verses. The Quran’s own internal mechanism resolves ambiguity in favor of violence. But if they pay you money and promise to convert, you let them live. The official word then is to rob and convert polytheists under threat of death (not an empty threat).

Quran 9:29 mandates fighting Jews and Christians until they pay jizya (money) in humiliation. Quran 5:51 prohibits taking Jews and Christians as close allies. Quran 98:6 designates non-believers as “the worst of creatures.” The classical division of the world into Dar al-Islam (House of Islam) and Dar al-Harb (House of War) leaves no neutral ground in Islamic geopolitics.

Offensive jihad to expand Islamic territory is classified in classical jurisprudence as fard kifaya — a collective religious obligation. This is not the theology of a religion that happens to have violent practitioners. It is the structural mandate of the system itself.

And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. (Qur’an 9:5 – Sahih International Version)

Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture – [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled. (Qur’an 9:29 – Sahih International Version)

O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another. And whoever is an ally to them among you – then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people. (Qur’an 5:51 – Sahih International Version)

Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures. (Qur’an 98:6 – Sahih International Version)

My Christian view: We invite people, through love, to enter into Christ’s love for them.

Eschatological Antisemitism

The end-times narrative in Sahih Muslim 2922 includes Muslims killing Jews as a prerequisite for the final hour, with stones and trees calling out to identify hiding Jews for slaughter. This is canonical, authenticated, embedded in Islamic eschatology. Hamas quoted it verbatim in their founding charter. There is no equivalent in canonical Christian scripture — not because Christians edited it out, but because it was never there.

My Christian view: Muslims tell the story of Christ’s return from the opposing point of view. They are clearly siding with the enemy of God in the end.

V. Muhammad Versus the Ten Commandments

Muhammad is not merely a prophet in Islam. He is al-insan al-kamil — the perfect man (not all-insane camel) — whose conduct constitutes Sunnah, normative behavior for all Muslims. His life is therefore subject to moral examination by any external ethical standard, including the Hebrew Decalogue (10 Commandments) he claimed to fulfill. The result: zero for ten. None kept. The gravest violation is the first.

No other gods before YHWH	The gravest violation of all. Allah is not YHWH. He is the pre-Islamic chief tribal deity of the Quraysh — one of 360 gods in the Kaaba pantheon before Muhammad cleared the others. Muhammad did not redirect worship to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob — he redirected it to a pagan Arabian deity he rebranded. No idols	Retained the Kaaba — a pre-Islamic pagan shrine — along with the Black Stone meteorite and the circumambulation ritual, all carried over wholesale from Arabian paganism. Do not take God’s name in vain	Allah is not YHWH, so misusing Allah’s name carries no weight against the third commandment. The violation here is far graver than that. Islam systematically denigrates YHWH directly: it denies His Son — and the one who denies the Son does not have the Father (1 John 2:23). It declares the Trinity shirk — the gravest possible sin in Islamic theology — thereby calling the revealed nature of YHWH Himself blasphemy. It declares the Gospel and Hebrew scriptures corrupted (tahrif), calling YHWH’s own word a lie. It supersedes YHWH’s covenant with a new one brokered by a different god entirely. This is not taking YHWH’s name in vain — it is a full-scale doctrinal assault on His nature, His Son, His word, and His redemptive plan. The third commandment is violated not by misusing Allah’s name but by constructing an entire religious system whose central purpose is to displace and denigrate the living God.	VIOLATED — GRAVELY
Keep the Sabbath	Replaced with Friday congregational prayers. No Sabbath observance in Islamic practice. The command was structurally dismissed, not fulfilled.	VIOLATED

Final score: zero for ten. The man who claimed to be the seal of the prophets and the fulfillment of Mosaic revelation violated every single foundational moral command of the tradition he claimed to complete — beginning with the gravest possible violation: worshipping a false god.

My Christian view: Every person who ever was conceived has the same Depraved Nature of Adam (spiritual DNA) that cannot be gotten rid of. Only Jesus was perfect and sinless. He is our exemplar; not a fallen man like Muhammad. And Jesus covered our shame with His perfection so that we might live to be glorified by Him on His return to Earth.

VI. The False Science Claims

A vast modern apologetic industry promotes “scientific miracles” in the Quran as proof of divine authorship. Every claim follows identical structure: vague Quranic phrase + modern scientific discovery + post-hoc mapping = miraculous foreknowledge. The arrow of knowledge always runs from science to Quran, never Quran to science. No Muslim scientist ever derived a scientific prediction from Quranic text ahead of independent discovery.

Embryology (Quran 22:5, 23:12–14)

The term alaqa (“clinging thing” / “blood clot”) supposedly anticipated modern embryonic stages. Reality: these passages map directly onto Galenic medicine of the period — a known human source available to any educated person in 7th-century Arabia. The “blood clot” reading was the universal classical understanding. The modern embryonic reading appeared after microscopy made retrofitting possible.

Sperm Origin (Quran 86:6–7)

“Created from a fluid ejected, emerging from between the backbone and the ribs.” Nothing between the backbone and ribs produces sperm. The ribs attach to the spine (backbone). This reflects Greco-Roman medical error about semen originating in the spine — common ancient ignorance, not divine foreknowledge. A Muslim debater in the UK, confronted with basic anatomy on this point, chose to claim ignorance rather than acknowledge the error (if he admitted the science, he’d be admitting imperfection (ignorance, really) in the Qur’an. Today we know that sperm is produced in the testicles (no connection to the spine or ribs).

Mountains Preventing Earthquakes (Quran 78:6–7, 21:31)

Mountains as “pegs” that prevent the earth from shaking. The most seismically active zones on earth are mountain ranges: the Himalayas, Andes, Alps. The claim is empirically backwards. It reflects ancient Near Eastern flat-earth cosmology in which mountains were conceived as pillars holding up a solid sky-dome.

Expanding Universe (Quran 51:47)

“We are expanding it.” Apologists claim this anticipated Hubble’s 1929 discovery of cosmic expansion. Every classical commentator — without exception — read this as a statement about divine power and vastness, not cosmic physics. The expanding-universe interpretation appeared after 1929. That sequence is not prophecy. It is retrofitting with a date stamp that exposes the method.

Sun Setting in Muddy Water (Quran 18:86)

Dhul-Qarnayn travels until he finds the sun setting “in a spring of murky water.” This is the ancient flat-earth concept of the sun physically descending into the ocean at the world’s western edge. No apologetic rescue exists that does not require total allegorization — which then destroys the literal reading the miracle claims require everywhere else. The apologists cannot have it both ways.

The definitive test: if the Quran contained genuine scientific foreknowledge, Islamic civilization would have led every scientific revolution. Instead, Islamic science peaked in the 9th–11th centuries through transmission of Greek, Persian, and Hindu knowledge — then stagnated decisively after al-Ghazali’s Incoherence of the Philosophers (1095 AD) declared rational inquiry dangerous to faith. He had likely been bested in philosophical argument and responded by declaring the game illegitimate rather than improving his arguments. The scientific miracle industry is compensation for that stagnation, not evidence against it. The 57-nation Organisation of Islamic Cooperation currently produces fewer annual patents than the single nation of Israel. Islam has borrowed; not pioneered.

My Christian view: The Bible shows the Creator to have made the cosmos will certain inalienable laws. Many Christians have made some of the most impactful contributions to science.

VII. The Reform Impossibility

Christianity possesses an internal reform mechanism. The ethical core — the Sermon on the Mount, the two great commandments — creates a standard against which church behavior can be judged and found wanting. The Reformation, abolitionism, and the civil rights movement all drew on Scripture to critique institutional failure. When the church fails, the text stands to judge it.

Islam structurally lacks this lever. Muhammad is the standard. Reforming away from his example is, by definition, bid’ah — forbidden innovation. Every major Islamic reform movement in history — the rationalist Mu’tazilites, Sufi moderates, 19th-century modernists — has been crushed, marginalized, or co-opted by orthodoxy wielding the bid’ah mechanism. The system is architecturally self-sealing.

Islam has no ‘render unto Caesar.’ Din wa dawla — religion and state are one. What is called a comprehensive legal-political system is more accurately named: oppression with a prophet.

Sharia is not personal ethics. It is a total governance system: criminalization of thought (apostasy, blasphemy), surveillance of private behavior, permanent subjugation of women and minorities, elimination of political opposition under religious authority. Where Sharia governance is strongest, every development index runs lowest. This is not coincidental correlation — it is the logical output of the system’s own architecture.

VIII. The Textual Reliability Problem

Most of Islamic law derives not from the Quran but from the Hadith — reported sayings and actions of Muhammad compiled 150–250 years after his death. Imam Bukhari examined 600,000 reported hadith and accepted roughly 7,000 as authentic. That is a 98.8% rejection rate by the tradition’s own foremost scholar — on material still 150+ years from its source with no contemporary documentation. The authenticated remainder carries the weight of the entire legal system.

The Quran itself was not written during Muhammad’s lifetime. Caliph Uthman standardized one version and burned competing variants — documented in Islamic sources. The Sana’a manuscripts discovered in Yemen in 1972 contain pre-Uthmanic Quranic text with textual variants. Access to these manuscripts has been significantly restricted by Yemeni authorities. The claim of perfect, uncorrupted preservation burns its own competing manuscripts and then restricts access to the survivors.

My Christian view: The Bible has more manuscript evidence than any book in antiquity. We know more about Jesus Christ than Julius Caesar.

IX. The Deeper Assessment

Taken together, Islam presents as something more than merely a false religion. It is a system that inverts morality rather than merely failing it — codifying as divine obligation what any external ethical framework identifies as evil: conquest, slavery, child marriage, assassination of critics, sanctioned deception. It is anti-knowledge by architecture, having made a 7th-century illiterate the permanent epistemological ceiling and declared rational inquiry potentially dangerous. It is self-sealing against reform, having embedded the mechanism for its own preservation in the concept of bid’ah.

A system this brittle intellectually, this morally bankrupt structurally, this dependent on violence for both expansion and retention — by normal civilizational mechanics, it should have collapsed.

The pro-damnation dimension receives the least attention and carries the most weight. The political and social destruction Islam produces is real — but it is temporary. The eternal dimension is the actual catastrophe: 1.8 billion human beings locked into a framework that leads definitively away from the one actual path of reconciliation with the living God — the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the risen Son of YHWH, the God Islam explicitly rejects.

That this system has achieved and maintained global scale — given its intellectual brittleness, its moral bankruptcy, its dependence on violence and death penalties for retention — suggests something beyond ordinary human dynamics is sustaining it. Paul’s language about principalities and powers, about the god of this age blinding minds (2 Corinthians 4:4), maps onto this system more cleanly than almost any other institution in human history.

The enemy did not construct a subtle trap. He built a loud, obvious, brutal one. And it worked at scale anyway. The prisoners in it deserve compassion. The system itself deserves clear-eyed identification for what it is.

My Christian view: Islam is a cult of the worst kind that must be abolished now.

Idol Worship
PROHIBITED Scripture consistently condemns idolatry without exception. No physical object is venerated in orthodox practice. The Incarnation is the anti-idol: God takes on flesh, not stone.	PRACTICED Muslims face a cubic pre-Islamic pagan shrine and venerate a meteorite five times daily. Islam loudly condemns idolatry in others while practicing a structural equivalent. The irony is not incidental — it is foundational.
II. MORALITY
Moral Standard
TRANSCENDENT Grounded in the character of God — unchanging, universal. The Sermon on the Mount sets a standard exceeding law, aimed at heart transformation. When the institution fails, the text stands to judge it.	INVERTED What Muhammad did is the standard. Conquest, assassination, sex slavery, and child marriage are therefore not failures — they are exemplary behaviors to emulate. This is not moral failure. It is moral reversal by design.
Treatment of Women
EQUAL IN DIGNITY Galatians 3:28 — neither male nor female in Christ. Women were first resurrection witnesses — a detail no forger would invent in a 1st-century Jewish context. Equal heirs of the grace of life (1 Peter 3:7).	STRUCTURALLY SUBORDINATED Half testimony (2:282). Half inheritance (4:11). Wife-beating permitted (4:34). FGM recommended in Shafi’i jurisprudence. Cannot leave house without male permission in classical fiqh. These are Quranic — not cultural accretions.
Slavery
ABOLISHED FROM WITHIN Abolitionists — Wilberforce, Newton, the Quakers — drew directly on Imago Dei and Galatians 3:28. The Bible provided the internal standard against which slavery was judged, found evil, and ended. Christianity produced its own abolition.	PERMANENTLY HALAL Islam never declared slavery evil — only regulated it. Sex slavery explicitly Quranic (4:24, 23:5-6, 33:50). The Arab slave trade ran 1,200 years. No mechanism exists in Islamic law to declare slavery intrinsically wrong without contradicting the Quran and Sunnah.
Violence & Conquest
HISTORICALLY ABUSED, DOCTRINALLY OPPOSED The Crusades and Inquisition represent institutional failure — judged against the text, not demanded by it. Christ’s commands (love enemies, turn the other cheek, render unto Caesar) oppose conquest. When the church used violence, it violated its own doctrine.	DOCTRINALLY MANDATED Quran 9:5 (kill polytheists). Quran 9:29 (fight until humiliating submission). Dar al-Islam vs. Dar al-Harb — permanent war footing. Offensive jihad is a collective religious obligation. Violence is not a betrayal of Islam. It is Islam.
Apostasy
FREE TO LEAVE Scripture nowhere commands death for leaving the faith. The prodigal son is the paradigm: the father runs to meet the returning one. Faith under compulsion is not faith. Christianity spreads through persuasion and witness.	DEATH PENALTY All four Sunni schools: death for male apostasy. “Whoever changes his religion, kill him” (Sahih Bukhari). A system that requires the death penalty to retain members is not confident in its truth — it is terrified of open competition.
Sanctioned Deception
CONDEMNED “Let your yes be yes and your no be no” (Matthew 5:37). Deception is sin without exception. No Christian doctrine permits lying to non-Christians as a religious category.	DOCTRINALLY PERMITTED Taqiyya (permitted deception toward non-Muslims) and kitman (concealment of inconvenient truths) are Islamic legal categories, not aberrations. A system that builds sanctioned deception into interfaith dialogue has made honest engagement structurally impossible.
III. KNOWLEDGE, SCIENCE & EPISTEMOLOGY
Encouragement of Inquiry
STRUCTURALLY GENERATIVE The conviction that God is rational and creation is ordered motivated systematic investigation. Kepler, Newton, Faraday, Mendel, Pasteur, Lemaître — their science was theologically driven. “Thinking God’s thoughts after him.” Creation as God’s second book of revelation.	STRUCTURALLY HOSTILE Al-Ghazali declared logic dangerous to faith (1095 AD). The rationalist Mu’tazilites were crushed. Bid’ah (forbidden innovation) chills inquiry by design. The 7th century is the epistemological ceiling. The Arab world currently translates fewer books annually into Arabic than Greece translates into Greek.
Scientific Claims
CONSISTENT WITH REALITY Genesis 1 describes sky as it actually is — expanse with water distributed through it — superior to every surrounding cosmology. Scripture does not make demonstrably false scientific claims. Where it speaks to the physical world, it speaks accurately.	DEMONSTRABLY FALSE Sperm from “between backbone and ribs” — anatomically wrong. Mountains prevent earthquakes — empirically backwards. Sun sets in muddy water — flat-earth cosmology. Every “miracle” claim requires post-hoc retrofitting after independent discovery. None predicted anything in advance.
Contributions to Science
FOUNDATIONAL The Scientific Revolution emerged from Christian civilization with theological warrant for investigation. Universities, hospitals, the Big Bang theory (Lemaître), genetics (Mendel), modern chemistry, physics, and astronomy all built on a foundation of believing scientists working from a Christian worldview.	NEGLIGIBLE AS SYSTEM “Islamic science” resolves on examination to conquered peoples’ knowledge preserved under Islamic political rule — not outputs of Islamic theology. The system itself has contributed no verified scientific knowledge. 57 Muslim-majority nations produce fewer patents than Israel alone (population 9 million).
Textual Reliability
REMARKABLY VERIFIED 5,800+ Greek NT manuscripts. Dead Sea Scrolls confirmed OT stability across 1,000 years. External sources (Josephus, Tacitus, Pliny) corroborate key figures and events. Manuscript variants are minor; none affect doctrine.	SELF-UNDERMINED Uthman standardized one Quran and burned competing variants. Bukhari rejected 98.8% of examined hadith — material still 150+ years from source. Sana’a manuscripts show pre-Uthmanic variants and access has been restricted. The “perfectly preserved” text burns its competition and suppresses the survivors.
IV. SOCIETY, GOVERNANCE & HUMAN FLOURISHING
Church & State
SEPARATED BY DOCTRINE “Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, and unto God what is God’s.” The distinction between civil and ecclesiastical authority created conceptual space for limited government, rule of law, and democratic governance — all of which emerged from Christian civilization.	MERGED BY DESIGN Din wa dawla — religion and state are one. Sharia is a total governance system. Every Islamic state moves toward theocracy because that is the logical endpoint of its own doctrine. Call it what it is: oppression dressed in divine authority.
Religious Freedom
INHERENT Faith cannot be coerced — it is by definition voluntary. The Imago Dei demands freedom of conscience. Christianity spread through persuasion, witness, and martyrdom. Where it spread by force, it violated its own doctrine.	STRUCTURALLY DENIED Quran 2:256 (“no compulsion”) is a Meccan verse abrogated by later violent Medinan verses in classical jurisprudence. The freedom verse is the one that got overridden. Death for apostasy, death for blasphemy, dhimmitude for non-Muslims — the system demands submission, not freedom.
Reformation Capacity
STRUCTURALLY AVAILABLE The ethical core creates a standard above the institution. The Reformation, abolitionism, and civil rights all drew on Scripture to critique institutional failure. When the church fails, the Bible stands to correct it. The corrective mechanism is built in.	ARCHITECTURALLY IMPOSSIBLE Muhammad is the standard. Reforming away from his example is bid’ah — forbidden innovation. Every reform movement has been crushed or co-opted. A Muslim working for genuine reform works against his own texts. The system is self-sealing by design.
Eternal Destiny of Founder
RISEN & REIGNING Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead — attested by 500+ witnesses, an empty tomb no opponent produced a body to refute, and disciples who died for a first-person claim of having seen him alive. He is seated at the right hand of the Father. He is the way, the truth, and the life.	CONDEMNED By the standard of the law he claimed to fulfill, Muhammad violated all ten commandments — beginning with the gravest: worshipping a false god. He died having explicitly rejected the Son of God, the Incarnation, and the Resurrection. He is in hell, awaiting the lake of fire. This is not cruelty. It is the logical output of the theology he built and the life he lived.

Closing Remarks

Islam is a cult. The largest on Earth. It is illegitimate from top to bottom. I don’t hate Muslims. I hate Islam (see my post on “Phobia“). People are not their ideas or beliefs. I separate the person from their philosophy/religion. I connect ACTIONS with the person, not what they think or feel about it.

If you have read anything else on this blog, you will know that I am against ALL religions, even Christianity as a religion (Catholicism, Greek, Russian, and Coptic Orthodoxy are examples).

Religion does not save you, behavior and faith do. And within this religion of Islam, an adherent can do the same things that Muhammad did:
• Worshipping a false god (a demon from a polytheistic religion)
• Idolatry (worshipping a rock)
• Abusing God’s Holy Name
• Not keeping the Sabbath
• Not honoring parents (if apostate)
• Murder
• Theft
• Lying (bearing false witness)
• Coveting

Christianity is not perfect because its followers are not. The Law of Moses is perfect. The Bible is perfect (some very minor errors have crept in over the millennia but are not foundational). Christians are not perfect (worth repeating). But their faith is against their bad behavior. Not so with the evil religion of Islam. It is inherently evil through and through. I call it Satan’s religion. Funny. They call me “The Great Satan” as an American (just for where I live).

One last comment to flip your lid: Being Muslim is not an automatic death sentence from Christ (⊙_v⊙). Sorry Baptists, it’s true, read Matthew 25:31-46. Those sheep and goats were rounded up after the apocalypse ending at Armageddon. Not one of them is a saint saved by faith. Muslims, Jews, and anyone else relying on religious works for entry into heaven seem to have a shot. (I’ll show the text below.)

³¹ “But when the Son of Man [Jesus] comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit upon His glorious throne. ³² All the people [mortal survivors, not immortal saints] will be gathered in His presence, and He will separate the people as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. ³³ He will place the sheep at His right hand and the goats at His left.

³⁴ “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. ³⁵ For I was hungry, and you fed Me. I was thirsty, and you gave Me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited Me into your home. ³⁶ I was naked, and you gave Me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for Me. I was in prison, and you visited Me.’
